The Best Cooking Show.

Posted : 3 months, 2 weeks ago on 5 April 2008 06:50 (A review of The Best)

The Best is perhaps my favourite cooking show ever. I don't know what it is about it but I absolutely love this show. Maybe it's watching the three chefs prepare the dishes in the laid-back atmosphere of their kitchen. Or maybe it's the way the chefs help each other prepare the dishes. The Best promotes itself as a competition but if it is it's a very friendly competition.

I do wish The Best had stayed on air for longer. I would have loved to see more then the ten episodes made.

Not Your Average Everyday Procedural.

Posted : 3 months, 2 weeks ago on 5 April 2008 06:37 (A review of Navy NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service)

NCIS is currently one of my favourite scripted shows on tv. It's definitely not your everyday crime show. This show's just as much about the characters as it is about the crime of the week, if not more so. That's one of my favourite things about NCIS actually, that it focuses on how people who are so different from each other work together. What with main characters being the goth lab tech, the English doctor, the hard ass leader, the movie buff playboy, and the IT geek. NCIS is also a show that brings the funny. When I first got into the show I kept asking myself 'Is this show being this hilarious on purpose'?

One of the most memorable quotes -
"NCIS? Is that anything like CSI?"
"Only if you're dyslexic."

Childhood Favourite

Posted : 4 months ago on 16 March 2008 02:22 (A review of MMC)

I watched the MMC religiously as a kid. I thought it was the coolest thing to see these kids I looked up to performing the songs that were popular than. People always focus on Justin, Christina, and Britney but there were a ton of truly talented kids on that show. Back when the show was on it seemed so edgy. Another really cool thing about the MMC was the diversity of the cast. Not just in age but race too, they weren't all WASP kids - they were Asian and black and Hispanic too. Thinking back on the show now as an adult I'm really impressed at the quality of the show those kids put on, even if a lot of it seems incredibly cheesy now. I wish I could watch it again.

Wonderfully Cheesy

Posted : 5 months, 3 weeks ago on 28 January 2008 12:12 (A review of Kung Fu: The Legend Continues)

Kung Fu: The Legend Continues was the first cop show I ever watched for myself. I used to come home from school and plop myself in front of the tv just in time to watch the re-runs. The show had a lot of cheese to it but was still a pretty good cop show. I was sad to see it go off the air and I'm anxiously waiting for it to be released to dvd.

Big Guy, Big Heart

Posted : 5 months, 3 weeks ago on 28 January 2008 12:03 (A review of Holmes on Homes)

My love for this show is huge. The help Mike gives people is amazing. I've learned a lot about construction from watching this show. Mike's make it right philosophy makes me happy. I think this is my favourite show on tv right now.

Big Boom!

Posted : 1 year, 6 months ago on 19 January 2007 10:59 (A review of "MythBusters")

I love this show. And not just for the awesome science experiments. I also love it for the explosions, the fires, the car wrecks, the guns, and Buster the crash test dummy. I love the way they take every myth to it's limit and past. I learn something new every episode and sometimes it's even useful in real life!
